On December 7, 2018, news outlets reported that a particular volcano in Colombia had erupted without warning. They also indicated that the eruption had taken place some five kilometers from where people live. One of the reasons why this volcano erupted is because of the increase in seismic activity which caused stress on the mountain.

For example, in Indonesia, volcanoes are closely related to religion and culture. So, when Mount Kelud erupted in 2014, many people fled their homes to avoid being killed by ash or lava flows.
Some animals even sense the events before they happen and act appropriately by leaving the area before an eruption takes place.
