What is your biggest concern about youth day?

Youth day is my opportunity to get to know young people and youth professionals, and I share the knowledge that I gain with the young people in my youth group and with some youth workers in the community.

What to do on Youth day:

On youth day, I enjoy the chance to meet the youngsters and their parents. They are eager to learn and keen to show me how they are making an impact with youth day activities. Sometimes I am grateful that I am able to help them and sometimes I am grateful that they come to me.

Youths and their hardship:

I have met wonderful youths who are going through hardship. I have met youngsters who have dropped out of school and come to me to borrow books. Some of them are still in school and are still borrowing from me. I have been asked to help youngsters who have lost their parents. Sometimes I have had to accompany youngsters to court to get the money they needed to continue their education.

Youth workers are a source of inspiration to me on youth day. I always say that the youth are like a big family to them, and they are also like a big family to me.

When I have to spend youth day with the youths working for me, I always spend it with the youngsters who help me on youth day.

A day to have fun:

I know you will not be happy with what I have told you today, and I know that you cannot see youth day coming. I will try to give you something to work on these days that is still young. I will give you something to strive for and work on.

The young in the workplace need you. What you have to give them is not very noticeable at this stage in the economy. At this time, the government and the business community need you. The government is giving you loans that may not be able to be paid back. Many companies have laid off young people because the youth cannot find employment.

The youth need experienced hands to replace them. There are no jobs for the youth. So, the young need experienced hands to replace them. Many young people have tried to go back to school to find employment. So, what can be done?
