The idea of Equal Rights:
It is a truth that a nation can survive many changes, but it cannot endure ones. For a nation to endure many changes, it must be willing to take some. These changes should be in alignment with its values. In reality, there are many nations that are willing to make any changes. They accept the idea of equal rights for all and allow people to change their religion. It is however when it comes to the issue of women in politics that the nation crumbles and does not recover.
Women Status in context of National Politics:
It has been well established that women, by their nature, are apathetic and do not join in the work of national progress. Therefore, when it comes to the governance of their nation, women choose to stay at home. When it comes to the governance of their nation, women are not equal to men. Therefore, they are not allowed to make political decisions. The feminists do not think that equal rights are the only issue. In their world view, another issue is the treatment of women in general. This is why they insist on letting men become MP's. That is to say, they have to be elected by the electorate and not the feminists.
Equal Rights to be addressed well for Women:
The second issue, equal rights, needs to be addressed when it comes to women in politics. The equality of women is the same as that of men. In their world view, they will be treated the same no matter what. A man will be elected if he fulfills the same criteria to be elected as a woman does. This criteria is how can he serve the people if he is of an apathetic nature. How can he inspire fear if he will always remain in a state of tranquility? Women, however, will be elected if they inspire fear. This is why women in their worldview, do not feel that men are apathetic. They feel that men in their country are only in a state of tranquilness. They, therefore, feel that the men must be very fearful even though they are not in a state of trances. They feel that men must be treated with more respect because they are elected to govern the nation.
Few Women should be at decisions making level:
A lot of people have believed that feminists are doing this for self-promotion. They have to be heard and considered because most feminists are not representative. They have to be elected because women are just not in a position to govern their country. Most women do not have a country to govern. Therefore, they vote for the men be in office and keep the status quo. It is for the promotion of the feminist cause to elect some women to be MP's just to see what the result is. The result is expected to be fearful even though they are not in a state of trances. Therefore, they feel the men must be treated with more respect because they have been elected.
If all this reasoning is sound, then it is expected that the women will make some decisions regarding gender-related issues. Therefore, women will decide to let men serve as ministers and MPs. The same applies to economic matters also.
Women are to give a position to test themselves in nation-building policies:
In the end, it is expected that women will exercise a lot of influence even though they are not in a state of trances. The feminist cause has a lot of support so it is expected that women will vote to let men hold important positions, that women will vote to let men be chosen as priests, bishops and ministers and that women will elect some women to be MP's in order to see the result of their decisions. In the end, women will decide and enforce the laws and policies of their country.
Feminist movement:
The feminist movement in our society is a very recent phenomenon. The feminist movement was invented by Susan Griffin-Hughes in 1969. Susan Griffin-Hughes believed that men and women should be treated equally. She was a strong advocate of feminism to ensure equality of the sexes. It is supposed to improve the standard of living of both men and women. If men and women are given equal rights, then there would be no gender discrimination.
Gender parity in all areas of life
When the feminist movement is successful, society will be able to achieve gender parity in all areas of life. The feminists believe that gender parity will improve the quality of life of both men and women. Some feminists want to force the social norms to be in accordance with the philosophy of the feminist movement and want to make the society gender parities in all areas of life. There are feminist movements that want to create gender parity by creating equal rights and opportunities for women. Some feminist movements want to see gender parity through policy and legislation.
Equality and Gender Parity:
Gender parity is not attainable if there is no equality between the two sexes. Equality in terms of economic, political, cultural, and social rights and responsibilities is unattainable unless equality is achieved in the life span. Equality can be achieved only by achieving gender parity. Gender parity is achieved if both men and women are given the same number of years to live.
When there is gender parity in the major social activities and policies, then women will not feel oppressed by the fact that they are given only half the years to live and will have equal opportunities to reach their potential. For achieving gender parity, policies should be determined for an equal period of time.
Conclusion:
Gender parity and gender parity will ensure equality of the sexes, make these the driving forces behind economic growth and development, ensure gender parity in career ladders, career breaks, employment, promotion, and representation, give equal opportunities for girls and women, ensure the equality in the area of health, education, economics, and politics and promote gender parity in terms of politics and media. Equality will ensure equality of opportunities in all fields of life.
