India is a land of festival along which one of the most popular and important festival is Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ganesh Chaturthi Is a delighting festival which is celebrated all over India . This festival is held on Sukla Chaturthi of Hindu month every year.

This festival is celebrated mostly in the northern parts of India and especially in the states of Maharashtra. This festival is celebrated between 19th August and 15th September and lasts for at most 10 days. The festival starts with colorfully decorated Idol of Lord Ganesha being installed in homes .The main food which is eaten during this festival such as ladoo, kudumu etc. During this festival Modak is offered to Lord Ganesha . On the 11th day of this festival the Statue of Lord Ganesha is carried and immersed in Sea and rivers .This represents the ritualistic send off for Lord Ganesha as he travels back to kailash taking all his sorrow of his devotees back with him .One of the most important part of this festival is Ganesha Visarjan .Children along with their family actively involved in this and they pray to God for well being and again to come back after one year. By this way one of the most important Hindu festival happens.
