When we have a lot of free time and we have nothing productive to do, we start thinking deeply about our experiences. What we went through until today. We think about them because those experiences had contributed to what kind of human being we have become.
Good experience or bad experience, all the types of experiences provide meaning to our lives.Experience is a strange word. The one who goes through those moments, those events, and witnessing those practicalities of life, only that person understands what that is. How can the word 'experience' be defined? How can it be understood? Is there any trick to gain experience without going through the practical contact or without going out of our comfort zone?
Helen Keller, one of the most inspiring humans ever lived on our planet, had once said," Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet.Only through experience of suffering and trial can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.
Another brilliant writer Oscar Wilde had said that experience is simply the name we give to our mistakes. Now, the humour in this sentence can be discounted for a while and if we focus on the irony of the sentence, then it definitely seems true.
Experiences change lives.Experiences give a certain direction to our lives.
Now I'm going to describe my experience of an examination that has changed my life.Understandably, one can argue how can an examination change someone's life forever? However, believe me, when I say this nothing is farther from the truth.
An exam can change someone's life if the exam is UPSC's Civil Services Examination.
