Everyone has personal rules that they need to live by. People can have rules for school, home, and work. Some rules keep us safe and some rules help us learn. For example, doctors have a rule that is to protect the patient. Also a police officers rule is to serve and protect. The story that I read called Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis had a main character, Bud. He has rules for almost all situations. As a middle school boy I have rules that I have to stick to.
I believe that you should always be prepared. As a middle schooler, you must be prepared to ensure you have the correct books and tools for each class you will be taking that day. You also have to be prepared so that you are able to hand in homework or classwork on time. Also if you have to go to work you must be prepared. You cannot forget if you have a paper due and you did not do it. I had to be prepared to get my physical shots. I had to be prepared for swelling and pain on both my arms. I was told that I was going to be in total agony so I had to prepare myself emotionally and physically. If you are prepared you could handle whatever life throws at you.
Managing time wisely will help make certain that you will be able to do both the things you have to and the things you want to do. When I get home I have a schedule that I stick to. I take a shower and do my homework. After that I have to do extra work to prepare for any Test or quizzes. In order to be successful you must balance your time wisely among many things such as classes, study time, family, and friends. Time is more precious than money because money lost can be regained. But if time lost, it can never come back. We must realize the value of time in order to be successful, prosperous and happy. Time should never be wasted. You must never think of the future but think of the minute. Time is valuable to me because if I don't manage my time I am all over the place. I do not know what to do or what to start with or if I want to go out I have to do my homework and clean. If I don't have a schedule I won’t get to go out. If you manage time you can be able to do lots of things.
You must think of the good things in life because you can't control the bad situations. You can be optimistic. You must love that you have a family and that they care about you. You must overcome hardships and appreciate what you have. No amount of anxiety makes a difference in anything that is going to happen. I had to overcome the challenges I had to face. After a while people started to get used to us. We learned English and we learned a new way of life. I found out that there was a war between Iraq and America. I found out that by going to America we were getting shelter from the war. In life you cannot always be sad and depressed. In every bad situation there is a good situation.
Every one has personal rules they need to live by. In Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis Bud has rules to help him survive and thrive. You must be prepared or you will not be able to handle what life throws at you. If you manage your time you will be able to do lots of things. In life you cannot always be sad and depressed. Do you think you can use these rules to help you?
